Karim SERHAN, MD was born and raised in the heart of the beautiful city Beirut (Lebanon). He attended a French school and then joined an American University for higher studies. This unique mix of heritage (Arabic, French and American) allowed to learn the values and understand the subtleties of each of those different cultures.

Dr. Karim graduated from the American University of Beirut with both a Medical Doctorate and a Master of Science. His thesis was focused on a novel biomarker for breast cancer detection. Following graduation, he completed a research fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University (Maryland, USA) in Regenerative Medicine and Bio-engineering. His work culminated in the publication of over 50 scientific articles.

He then completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Toledo (Ohio, USA). He logged the highest number of surgical cases among his colleagues focusing on surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and has multiple additional training certificates (in robotic surgery, endoscopic surgery and laparoscopic surgery)

Dr. Karim SERHAN finally relocated to the UAE in 2022 (after spending a total of 10 years in the USA). He is a Consultant Surgeon and honored to serve the very kind population of the United Arab Emirates.
